Gidman Soccer

Gidman Soccer was created in honor of the late Coach Peter Gidman.

A past CJSA Vice President, a founding father of the WAM United Soccer Club, and an integral part of Ashford Soccer and the town of Ashford Parks and Rec. Department.

Coach Gidman believed that neither money nor skill should ever be the reason a child cannot play the game. Through Gidman Soccer, we continue the legacy of ensuring that each and every kid has the chance to play soccer and enjoy this game that we love.

We invite all ages and skill levels to join us at Gidman Soccer.

I am Coach Carli, and I love the game of soccer.

I come to you with over 30 years of soccer knowledge. I am a US Soccer Federation licensed coach and an Olympic Development Coach for the State of Connecticut. I also hold a CIAC Coaching Certificate and a CJSA Goalkeeper Coaching Certificate.

I believe that the experience of being on a team is not only about the game, but about learning teamwork, hard work, dedication, and commitment. Yes, we want to win, but it is also just as important to learn how to lose. Learn from your mistakes and get back up. I grew up in a soccer family, learning these life lessons. Now I am here to give back to the next generation of soccer athletes and continue the legacy that is Gidman Soccer.
